Title: What radiators to buy?
Post by: oic0 on December 27, 2012, 01:15:56 PM
Friend of mine ran my bike into a cow, busted the left side radiator. I orderd a new set of chinese ones for 89 but they did not fit whatsoever. Took me a while to get my money back and cost me on return shipping :(  Does anyone know of a brand of cheap aftermarket radiators that actually fit? or should I just hunt down a used rad?

Try Warp9...they're probably the best bang for your buck...there's a couple guys running them and like em alot....and the guys at Warp9 are pretty cool with answering any questions.

The Warp 9's are Chinese made and are more expensive then the other no name Chinese brands,
However, they will fit your bike.
Retail is 219.00.
Mark up on these (As is the case with most Warp 9 products) is about 25% so don't expect to see these much cheaper.
Currently I could not find them on eBay.
Please note:
*Warp 9 oversized radiators do not work with oversized fuel tanks or radiator braces*

One more thing to add about Warp9...is that they have GREAT warranty service!!....anything you damage that you've purchased through them, you just pay a $60 fee and they'll fix it/take care of it.

Oh!
I knew that about their wheels but not their radiators.
I'll have to call Kevin and get the goods on that.
I wonder how many other Warp 9 dealers are members of this site  :?
I know of two others  :-P

When I ordered my rear wheel,I talked to Rob at W9...and I had asked him about radiators, footpegs and brake pedals...he said everything was warranted. If you have a good inside source, that would be good to know if it's true or not.

EDIT...I know of one member/dealer...only because I bought his front W9 wheel

Ouch, the other ones I bought were $89. They were good high quality radiators, but definitely not fitted to our bikes. Guess I have to pay over twice as much to get properly fitted ones :(

i've bought a couple of sets of the Chinese radiators, defineately cruder than Japenese but they have been larger capacity and I was able to get them to fit. For the price I would probably do it again.

Interesting.
I was told they were Chinese made.
Maybe that's why they actually fit :-)
