Title: Cylinder plating
Post by: 4milshee on December 22, 2012, 04:22:27 AM
Who do you guys use to get the nickasil redone on the cylinders? I only know of 2 places, millennium and power seal. So I just want to know if anybody has a place they use with top quality work. As with everything price is a factor. But I have no problem paying for proven quality. Thanks guys

Either one of them does pretty good work...I myself use PowerSeal, only because they seem to appreciate the business a little more.I found Millenium did'nt like to return phone calls or e-mails....so they don't get any of my cylinders.

Yes it does...and I've found PowerSeal's turn around time to be a little quicker too.

Alright cool. I'm just gonna go with them. I think I may have to get someone to re do the power valve on the bike. As I took it apart the teeth were chipped and on tab was broken. So I'm hoping to find someone here that has parts and experience, so if some one can point me in that direction I'd really appreciate it

Check with the member Sandblaster...if you go back to the Home page and scroll down to "Commercially available service"...you'll see OEM-CYCLE...PM him.

I have not had any problems with Millenium tech.  Great work and great quality control.

Powerseal is just South of you & IMO they have the quickest turn around. Also as stated, they seem to be a bit more appreciative for the work & I have had nothing but positive experiences with them.

that's what I like to hear, I think if a shop/builder/retailer/ any business actually takes the time to talk with you and get things squared away and answer questions and put up with my unknowledgeable BS then they have my business
