Title: Kick Start Lever

87 KX500. Just asking if it is common for the kick start lever to hit the foot peg. Or am I just kicking this thing to hard. I have the lever rotated as far forward as it can go and still fold in under the pipe. I will be replacing stock pegs with wider IMS pegs.

I dont know about the KX500 but it is pretty common on most bikes. It hits on my buddies 98 YZ426F.

Yes, they all hit the foot peg.

Thanks. This is my first bike and I am learning as I go. The first thing I learned was to twist the the right grip as hard as I can.
