Title: 2007 kx 250 cylinder compatability
Post by: chap on October 15, 2012, 02:43:49 PM
Okay all you kx250 gurus(coz i sure am not) i have an 07 kx 250 and would like another cylinder to send to eric gorr to get ready for a big bore swap. First question is what years are compatable with my 07.Second question is to get some input on which cc i should go with. Im a bigger rider which is why a little more wouldnt hurt, i ride in the bush and race harescrambles. I need your input. If anyone has has a big bore kit install i would like to hear your opinions on it. Thanks all. Braaaap

A 05,06, will work. You can't go very big maybe around a 270, there are to many ports on the newer cylinde and once you start making it bigger they get real close. I've got two big bore cylinders that didn't make more than a minute before grenadeing, I then decideded 250 was big enough.

Dirtbike or Dirt Rider built a 300 05 or 06 KX a while back. Seemed it was pretty strong. I think it dynod at 52 hp.
