Title: reed block
Post by: gwcrim on September 18, 2012, 10:49:58 AM
Looking at the Kawasaki parts website, the 2002 pn is not the same as the 1999.  12021-1113 vs 12021-1124.  Guy on ebay claims that 94-04 are all the same.

What will work on my 2002?

They are NOT the same, will the different years fit? Short answer is yes, but they come with different stuffers and different amount of reed petals. Simple (but more $) fix is to buy the V-Force or the Rad Valve. They both work very well in the 250.

They sure don't all interchange!  Take a look at my 2002 cage on the left and the alleged 99-02 cage I bought on Ebay.  Look at the distance from the edge of the reed to the edge of the cage.  Mine is significantly more narrow and the other one won't fit.

'01 and '02 carry the same part number.  All other years around there seem to be different.
