Just wondering if anyone could offer a more detailed set of instructions for timing the 1986-88 kips valves than what the the clymer manual offers. The manual I have is very vague, and I am unable to get the timing correct.
thanks

http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg119/cr500-af/kippsteeth.jpg the tooth with the red mark is the timing mark http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg119/cr500-af/kippsworn.jpg
if your valve are worn the timing marks may be worn
line the timing marks on the valves with the timing rod marks with the allen key stop bolt {flywheel side} removed
since both valve are the same one valve will look incorrect {upsidedown}
