Hello All,
As I said New to this board. I've been a 3 wheeler guy my whole life and have a few build under my belt. I'm putting a 86kx500 in my 1984 kawasaki tecate kxt 250. Is there a parts swap/ interchangable thread anywhere on this board. I'm trying to figure out what year cases/ CDI's, coils etc will swap from year to year since I will need to buy a lot of stuff a la carte from E-bay etc... I was also thinking PWK airstryker 41mm for a carb and I'm sure there are many discussions but curios to see if there is a consensus as to best carb for this motor. Feel free to ask any other questions you need to answer.
thank
Dan

Haha...another member that lives life with a coffin within a "gropes" reach!!....welcome aboard!
There's one, possibly 2 guys on here that built a Tecate KX500.If you use the "search" option at the upper left in the blue menu bar,you should find it....I don't remember how detailed the build was posted,so you might not get that much useful info out of it.

That's the one I was thinkin of.I don't know which one I'd have more fun on.....a Tecate KX500,or Polars KX500 shifter cart :?....think I'd have to go with the shifter, for stability reasons...and the 80mph burnouts!! :-D

Thanks for the help guys. The bigest problem with the build is getting the custom pipe built since it need to go on the left side of the Trike. Not an easy task. Lots of good info on the site and I'm sure I'll have more questions as the build progresses. I'll post up some pics once I get under way with hte build

There's a "custom pipe builders" thread on here if you don't already have someone in mind.....and the member Polar-Bus just had a custom pipe built for his KX500 shifter cart.
