I think using the CR motor was the right choice for a prototype. As awesome as the KX motor is it doesnt run as crisp as the CR powerplant does. That aussie bike did sound really tight and dialed in. 
My dream K5 would be fuel injected as well as electronic actuated powervalve.

A few backyard mechanics, a laptop and a small bank roll. Makes you wonder what's up with the big guys? I know KTM has been working on a DI system for years and struck a partnership with one of the snowmobile companies. They're even using DI on some chainsaw brands and have been for years on outboard motors. If they ever make a true big bore DI I would be interested.
