Title: "Kawrider"
Post by: Rooster452 on June 09, 2012, 07:37:28 AM
I know my thread "HELP" was moved but wanted to give everybody an update. Paul called this morning and even though he promised one motor to be done by the end of May, it was not (too busy). So I asked him to ship back both motors including the parts I paid for, including 1 new set of cases and 1 new crank. He said he needed a week so I'm looking for two weeks to get here and then start all over for the third time. I have been waiting three years for these motors to be rebuilt/ 1 1/2 years with Stewart (totally screwed me over) and 1 1/2 years with Kawrider (to be determined) . I'll probably be eligible for getting Social Security by the time they'll be ready to ride.

To Be Continued.............

Can you rebuild it yourself? After the first fiasco I would have done it myself or sent it out to a reputable company. Eric Gore, Pro Circuit etc. I have a hard time trusting anyone any more after reading about the nightmares that some members on here have been through!

Aw Man I am sorry to hear that I was hoping you would end up having better luck than I did with Paul.

Wanted to get a "third party" to back me up after Stewart. Kaw Rider has been on this forum for a while and very knowledgeable. Paul did a great job of documenting the crap job that Stewart did. Didn't think it would backfire like this. You make a great point that I want to warn others to beware if they are trying to tap into some of the talent on this forum.

It seems that Larry Weichman, compression release guy, is on the up and up. I just scored another head for my 500 and plan to send it to him sometime this year. Its a shame that so many have had issues with others that offer services on this site. If the person knows that they cant do the job in a timely fashion then they shouldnt offer their services! Barring any personal issues ofcourse. A courtesy call would be nice just to keep the customer up to speed.

My experience with Kawrider has always been first class.
He did some machine work for me that was flawless.
Sorry you have had problems.
I'm sure you won't have any trouble getting your parts back.

I realize it was not meant for me. I had posted the 'joke' question I referred too and it was removed with "Yes" in it's place. Too funny! Still makes me laugh.

I believe Kaw Rider is a good guy. I think the problem is his business is good an he needs to work it as we all do. This is a hobby & for him too. He's very smart and I hope he continues to share his knowledge on this forum. He just bit of more than he can chew and I'm sure he'll make it right.

Well it's July 2nd almost another month gone by and was suppose to get a package today. After tracking all day found out it was delivered an hour south to a different address. Called Paul "Kawr Rider" to find out he mixed up my tracking number (apparentley ships alot of stuff besides mine) and couldn't really tell me what day the one motor will be delivered. He "may" get to sending the other motor by Friday. I asked him for some consideration and please "make the time to gather up the parts and ship them out". Still waiting.........

Got pair of worn out crank cases this week & that's it. Was suppose to get more but without tracking #'s it's impossible to see what he has shipped. It's really to bad he has chosen to play this game.

Got a box today. Another set of used cases and that's it. At this rate should get a motor back in another year and a half............. I'm hoping he'll at least return my call and let me know why he's not sending out the rest of the stuff or even the other motor that is assembled.........

USPS delivered 1 assembled lower crankcase (missing tope end). So far I have three sets of used cases and no sign of the brand new set I paid for. I guess more to come.............

Really sorry for what your going through. Totally unnecessary. The worst part seems to be lack of communication, and that what I frown on the most. When a member takes your money, now it's buisiness and the rules change. Back about 6 years ago I needed extra cash as I just bought a house, and I was very skilled at wrenching on bikes, soon I found myself doing a really sweet side buisiness doing simple bike repairs for friends and friends of friends. I only charged cheap money, and would ONLY take on simple repairs, and people were SO happy with my work. Well, one job was the all too familiar "opening up a can of worms" with a 250cc 4 stroke YZ dirtbike. Long story short, I did almost $400 worth of repairs, and the "friend of a friend" turned into an instant a$$hole. I refunded back all the labor $$ I charged him and threw him out. I still do side jobs, but ONLY for people in need of a favor, I don't do work for people simply being wicked cheap not wanting to pay a dealer $80/hr . I learned a valuable lesson with that single experience.  Hope you get this mess sorted out. Don't feel too bad, this very situation has happened on every other powersports forum that I visit.

It is unfortunate especially when we do have some legitimate guys (business) on the site that have a lot to offer and I think thier feedback from other members who have done business with them says a lot.
I think it is equally important to share how some individuals act so others will not have to go through the same nightmare.
Paul did call me back today to let me know what I have in hand and what is still to come including the new cases and crank. Apparentley the cases delivered today are no good and the crank either (not sure why it's assemebled)........... the top end will be shipped out tomorrow and the rest maybe Saturday.........

WOW, sounds like you contributed to another motor build. I kinda wonder if the case set I bought came from your stuff.
Phfuu ,  sucks your getting jerked around like that. So the new cases are still not there nor any top end? Didnt you send him 2 motors

Yup. Two complete motors that Stewart rebuilt (trashed). Since then gave him money to buy a brand new set of cases and crank from Kawasaki as well as a list of other parts.
The cranks were have suppose to be balanced already but if this crank that he shipped is one of the cranks I don't think it's been balanced........ With no communication back from Kaw Rider (Paul) it's hard to know whats next. I did get one top end . I know it's mine cause I ground off the rear head mount to go into a 250 frame and has Larrys compression release.

This is stupid.     How much longer are you going to let him get his Rocks off Jerking you around?!    Its been 3 months since you started this thread.  And its been going on since before then...        And all you have is a hand full of washers at a time.    Not even the good washers.

Not even my parts and I feel jerked around also..     Time to start Jerking back...  Or Ill be on social security by the time you get everything!  (if its still around by then   )

AMEN,

enough is enough, you have emails stating what he was going to do for you, go after him legally, make him pay.

Crooks continue to be crooks because people let them get away with it.

I've been around here since the Pitbull days and I've been meeting riding pals online since the mid 90s. I've never seen such a rotten crew of azzwipes as there have been trolling around here.  Dont get me wrong... there are lots of stand up guys here and lots and lots of good help.

You know the saying:  A few rotten apples don't spoil the whole bunch.
