Title: shock head seal

Is there an easy way to put a new head seal back onto the shock as ive just bought one and im having problems getting it on, also there is a anonamous piece of rubber that comes inside it, does this have any use with the shock or not?

Amazing instructions on shock rebuilding im no mechanic and they make it seem so easy.-thanks

  THere is a link in a thread here to "motoproffessor" which has a .pdf guide with pictures. Search for it. I can email it to you if you can't find it. Cam.

yeah i found it it sorta helped although it still aint on, also when you put the shock back together does the heasd seal edges come between the dust seal and rod?

as u can tell this is my first time triing this
