Title: Can newer clutch covers work on older models?
Post by: Derekfumi on April 08, 2012, 02:49:27 AM
I was wondering if the clutch cover from an 89 KX5 will fit on an 87 KX5? They gaskets are the same part number. Thanks

the lower water spiggot is round on the older models, rectangular after, just make sure you have one for the cover you're changing to

not sure about the 87, but some of the older years  had different KIPS actuation arms, no issues as long as you use the one for the year of cylinder
