Title: 86 kx5 cylinder

the 86 kx5 cylinder is not plated and therefore "bore-able" correct? just making sure before i start the rebuilding process . I have searched and i dont want to turn this into another plated vs sleeved debate, lol just looking for the original condition of the 86 cylinder. Thanks

stock cylinder is NOT boreable, has to be replated!!

you can bore any cylinder doesn't matter if its plated or not if it is you need to either sleeve it or replate it but you can MOST DEFINENTLY bore your cylinder its just up to you if you want it sleeved or plated

the 86 has a nikasil bore as standard, depends if someone has had it sleeved after.post up some pics looking at the top and bottom of your cyl, impossible to be certain without seeing it.K.
