Title: kx 500 1983 restoration

Hi. kx500 1983 restoration is going well but im short of an airbox and a kickstart!! Can anyone tell me if these parts off other years will fit as im struggling to get hold of them.

84 might be close. go to kawasaki.com, owner info, parts diagrams, search airbox on 83 then compare to 84 box.hth, K.

well thats unfortunate, kawasaki only have parts diagram back to 1986. I may have found one being broken up. just need the breakers to answer the phone!!

I have an 83/84 microfiche if its any good to you? Where are you located? K.

Located in warrington near manchester.
  i use a microfiche on a site called cmsnl. i dont fully trust the microfiche though;     allballs didnt do a suspension linkage bearing kit for the 1983 but they did for a 1984. i checked the microfiche and the bearing part numbers were the same for both years - so i presumed 83 and 84 linkage bearings were the same. However the 84 bearings are 2mm smaller in diameter!!
 
  Does anyone know if a kx250 airbox is the same as the 500? found one for ?50.00 but not sure if it will fit. it also has extra air holes drilled in it.
