anyone have any advise on larger foot controls (both brake and shifter) on a KX 500? I wear a size 15 alpinestars and as of late my big feet keep jacking me up, while out riding. Stepping on the brake seems to be my biggest problem lately, new boots I feel are to blame (STIFF). Ideas on buying or extending is what Im after. thanks paton

I completely understand your situation. I wear size 14. I was accidentally hitting the brakes at all the wrong times almost causing me to crash. My boots are still pretty stiff after 2 years. Thor Quadrants.
I moved the shift lever up so my toes are under it in normal riding position. Have to pull foot off peg to downshift though. It didn't take long to get used to it like that.
I loosened the brake lever to lower it but that takes away from being able to lock up the rear wheel if needed. I was thinking about bending the pedal or cutting down the size of the foot part so I can have full use of the brakes again.
If you come up with any ideas let me know. Hope this will give you some kind of direction at least.

x3! i too am having some missed shifts due to my new alpinestars.. cant feel shifter lever but more important than that i cant get much boot under the lever to begin with... have raised the lever on the shaft but shifter end just not long enough for my boot to get under... very frustrating..is there a aftermarket lever that is longer..or idea's anyone?

just take the shifter , cut it and weld in an extension piece :p
