As it says. I traded my PS3 for a 99 KX250. Its supposed to run, but I dont have my hopes up. I started the tear down after work today. Heres what I have found so far. The rear wheel assembly (rim, hub, spokes) is trashed. The holes in the wheel are pulled through, same on the hub. Rotor and sprocket no good. Tire is decent, prolly 75%. Swingarm is good, one of the adjuster bolts brought the threads out of hole. Ill just tap it to the next size bolt. The linkage is trashed. I was hoping it was just the bearing, but its wore into the bore of the linkage itself. Swingarm bolt has excessive wear spots and bearings are shot. Shock bores are good. Front wheel assembly is the same way, junk. Forks have no oil in them as they have no rebound control. Kick start is missing, the shaft is broke off, and was told that it didnt catch all the time. Cables are just about wore though in spots. Twist throttle housing is cracked. Bars are bent. Radiators are tweaked, one looks like it may have been leaking. The brass inserts in the fuel tank are long gone. Plastic and seat is trashed. Theres more to come as I am still tearing apart. I really need some parts cross reference information, resources, ect..... Thanks, Chris

I have some interchange info here:

If there is info you need that is not on there, let me know and I'll see if I can get it.

I believe when I bought my bike (a 2000 kx250) the rear was close to the same as your description here. I usually don't check an oem place because of course they are quite a bit more expensive. The wheel and assembly i bought at this link: http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/t/44/54/297/1071/Wheel-Kits (http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/t/44/54/297/1071/Wheel-Kits)
And also that same website has your fork oil, bars, cables, twist throttle, etc.. And if this place doesn't have it check your local kawi dealership i guess. Happy shopping!!
