Title: 1999 CDI interchange
Post by: pickledkiwi on February 20, 2012, 05:36:15 AM
Hi Guys. Does anyone know what the difference is between the 1999 CDI and the 2000 unit. Everything appears the same but the two units have different part numbers. Also same question for the 1999 vs 2002. I know the CDI plug is different but I'm more interested in the timing curves.
Cheers

1999 KX250 Timing 11* BTDC @ 7000 RPM (Uses a Condenser also)

2000 KX250 Timing 13* BTDC @ 7000 RPM (No Condenser)...2002 Has the same timing.

Hope this answers your question, :-)
