Post by: sandblaster on January 25, 2012, 06:22:44 AM
You are what you eat
Here is a typical lunch at the shop.
Today's lunch is Broccoli, White, Green, and yellow onions, Garlic, Green and Red Bell peppers, Grilled Chicken, Carrots, and Brown Rice.

If that's true you could also count on it for proper hydration :-)

Preseason to riding I tend to just wake up eat something good and healthy and head straight for a jog. Depending on the day I like to do about 4 to 5 miles. Then hopefully hit the gym and try and work those good ol' forearm muscles to relieve arm pump. But never really be lazy about it or else I loose it quick!

P90X is a great work out.
I have a couple of buddies that are iron men after doing that for about a year.
I'm training for a Tough Mudder run in September.
Don't know what Tough Mudder is?
Check it out:
http://toughmudder.com/ (http://toughmudder.com/)
Can't wait.
Hope my knees, hernia, herniated disc, recovering shoulder and ribs hold out  :-D

Just a rehash.
I'm now up to 2 hour work outs 5 days a week.
1 hour of weights, 1/2 hour tread mill and 1/2 hour swimming.
I can't wait for this spring for some good riding weather.
I'm gonna tear up some sand :-)

Since I'm turning 50 in a few months I even thought about running in some MX old man classes :-)
That just doesn't sound right...

If you keep it up now.... it will be easier to maintain as you get older.
Jacking up my shoulder a couple of years ago almost ended my riding.... not really  :-D
All my friends were asking me if I was going to give it up.
NO WAY MAN!
I was riding again before I got the plates, pin, springs, and exhaust valves out  :-o

I eat anything thats not packaged, boxed,
I.E. fresh meat, and veggies, and fruit,
and do all manual labor, lol, i carry things instead of using carts, rake the lawn, aerate my lawn by hand (lol 2 holes 6" apart at a time)
lol i avoid machines, Except the K5, to keep my body going, since i will not go to the gym (lazy or something)
its paid off, have the nick name of the OX around my coworkers, i dont slow down, i dont need energy drinks, and after working my ass off all day long, im still ready for another 8 hour work day, lol not sure where i get the energy, but im doing something right for the energy. lol though my friend look at me like im a freak

Eating habits not so good as a tradie sort of eat what u can when u can but i do alot of running and cycling.  I compete in a obstacle race called Spartan Race 4 times a year so need to be fit.  2 runs at 5 km each week and cycle on the off days untill i have had enough, Plus i ride my KX almost daily its a work out on its own.

Cycling is great for your leg strength and endurance. You should be hanging on to your KX with your legs, or any motorcycle, if you want to get the most out of it.
