water cooled year?

What year did the 500s go to water cooled models? looking for a complete motor right now and wasnt sure what year they went water cooled.

85 is the first year water cooled.then they added the 2 valve kips system in 86,87.which I prefer,[less moving parts]. not sure which year they added the 3rd kips valve, :?[help me out guys,my manual is out in the garage]all are good but some are getting harder to get parts for.

1989 was first year for third kips valve in the US market.
