New KX owner, or soon to be...

Hello all, great site.  I will be going to pick up my, new to me, 2003 KX250 on Saturday.  Currently I have a 08' CRF450X.  I'm 34 and have always had 3 wheelers & 4 wheelers.  My son, who is 8, just got an 04 KX65 and it gave me the 2 stroke itch.  Can't wait to get on it.  Any tips for this particular bike is appreciated.  Thanks.

welcome to the site, it is awesome. you can spend days gleaning info.i will bet it wont be long before you get the 500 bug! where do you ride ?

Usually ride around our house and friends farms.  Already got the 500 bug, but one thing at a time.  I'd like to have a KX500 & CR500 just cause they will all be gone some day.

Hey Crash,
  Sorry to be a little late on the welcome, 
I'm better at turning a wrench than repairing my computor!
   Always nice to hear about the family getting out and riding together.  My boys and I had some good times.
Make sure to take pics and a video camera if you can swing it.  I regret not spending the time and money for photo's and vids... don't make the same mistake!!  Keep some pic's of the kids on t5heir bikes around and see if you can pick up some riding buddies.  Good friends and riding go hand in hand!!.
