92 K5 Race Bike: Any last minute advise?
SteelHorse751:
Great advise!
That is what I needed.
And thanks for telling me look at it in an objective and calm manor. I was getting pretty stoked about it.
I know a former race bike can go either way (well taken care of or thrashed) and armed with the informtion you have provided and what has been posted before on other threads, I will have a pretty good idea of yea or na.
Thanks again and I'll let you know how it went.

Have no worries about a KX500 that was claimed to be MX'd (especially a KX500 that was MX'd by a vet club racer) . Trust me there is no man on this planet that could put a hard beating on a KX500 out on the MX track. The last guy that came close was Wardy.... lol

Thanks for the encouragement Polar-Bus!
I know I won't be able to push it like Wardy, but it is still good to know that the "potential" is in the bike.
Especially with some suspension work! AND...Alot of gym work!!!!!!

One of the good things I found out last night was the guy lives out in the country, so I will be able to run it through the gears and see if I notice any problems with the power or driv train.
Should be good to go, but I'll make sure I do a good check on things before I make it official.
