Which Chain For Sand?
Camo:
Which chain do I buy for the dunes? The O and X chains get eaten by the sand so I was told to buy a regular chain but a good quality. Which one do you recommend? The O and X are also wider and It may rub the side of my paddle tire slightly so regular is what I am looking for. Thanks.
Camo:
I'm looking for brand name please. I'll do the rest of the searching. Thanks.
Motorrad:
I wouldn't run a regular chain in the sand.. That is asking for it.. There is a reason they sealed them with o-rings
Friar-Tuck:
I don't have any experience at the Dunes, however I had a DID 520 ERT2 Chain on my XR 600 (628 kit)
for 5yrs with no trouble and very little stretch.
I figure it had about 40hrs. actual ride time on it when I sold the bike.
I do try to take care of my stuff, (maintenance!) and there was about 1-1/4" bow last time I took it off and cleaned soaked oiled it.

Well the word from the sand box is the sand eats the o-rings eventually. No experience myself. My quads are shaft drive.
