Pipe hitting rad hose from water pump
fraz83:
I bought a aftermarket rad for my 01 500 im just wondering if this has been a issue for anyone else! kinda sketched out to go ride when the hose is hitting the pipe! will the pipe burn a hole through the hose or are the stock hoses rated for that kind of temp!? if anyone could help me out it would be a big help

I'm not sure what temp those hoses are rated for, but it's not enough to prevent the rubber from melting. If you can't shim the pipe out a little to get a small air gap, maybe you could tape up the hose with some hi-temp exhaust wrap. Not sure would work the best, just throwing some ideas around.

hey man ill take anything right now i got almost a month to figure out something before maylong weekend
fraz83:
well the gnarly had to go and the fatty was put on :( im pretty sure the gnarly has more top end and the fatty more bottom so the ride should be different thats for sure

Try loosening the hose at the radiator, and spinning or twisting it away from the pipe.
My gnarly pipe don't hit, but my custom built pipe does.
I wrapped a old inner tube around mine, but it's for ice only and wouldn't work well in dirt.
