CarbonFibre parts

(1/1)

Motorrad:
A few good friends of mine in the R/C industry do alot with carbon fibre...

Infact... I can get some kits to do my own molds, and make my own parts... (assuming I cant convince them to do it for me)

Never was really interested....

But since Boyesen wants too freeking much money for a ignition cover...

I started thinking....

What if I made my own out of CF?    while Im at it, I could do the chain guard (on cases), rear caliper guard,   perhapse fork guards?....

Some vidoes on the process..  (these are not "vaccume bag" procedure... in order to get the curve of the cover, I probly would have to...)

(Video 1 of a series...)

Just sharing my current hair brained idea...

I love the stuff, just be careful to use it in places where if it is broken it wont cut you.

How about a custom one off removable clutch cover to match the ignition cover?
