how to get this stuff off?

a while ago i got all this liquid gasket paste and used it on my old clutch cover gasket because it was not sealing because the old cover was warped, anyways i got all the gasket stuff all over my motor. and i want to know how to get it off???

Try permatex gasket remover. Careful with it, its rather acidic/toxic. It removes anything I put it on, very good for cleaning power valves too. If you cant find it try oven cleaner.

cool i have a can of it in my garage! i cant wait to try it :-D
be careful with permatex remover. that stuff is good but it will oxodize the aluminum really bad if you let it stand too long. after you are done i would polish the area and apply a sealer.

ok so can someone give me step by step instuctions on how to do this with out oxidizing anything?  and polish it with what? and what kind of sealer?
