hi i stumbled across this forum and had to join...first bike was a qa50 honda..should have never got rid if it..then a trail 70...then a fl250 oddyssey...then a 1999 xr70...ttr 125l a blast...never saw idle unless it was not running..then a 88 yz 250..then a tecate 4 didnt run right...a yz 125...and now oh soooo proudly a 1989 kx 500....she is a project i boght a week ago and fell in love... she  dosent run and needs the crank redone..but hope fully by march she'll be runnin...well screamin...

thanks friar-truck...maybe so..
and sandblaster she dont run because the crank is stuck it has new top end, sleeve and piston.. original forks but it has newer stlye forks on it..the steering stem bearings are about 1/8 th of an inch above the race...why they put em on and ran it i'll never know.
