Is there any way to determine the year of a fork?  I have replaced my fork seals three times in three rides.  I know it's not me hurting them etc. upon installation, so I have realized that the fork is not the same year as the rest of the bike and the stanchions are a different diameter.  I need to find out what year it is in order to put in the proper seals.

  TIA-

Hello.
If you can send me the following info:
CHROME OD: ?mm -
Top of fork cap to axle C/L: ?" -
UPPER triple clamp mounting area OD: ?MM -
LOWER triple clamp mounting area OD: ?MM -
BRAKE MOUNT C/L to C/L: ?MM -
AXLE diameter: ?MM
And, any writing at the bottom of the fork tubes, I'll see if I can get it for you.

<Hits self in head>  I think I know what it is.  Seeing each leg is stamped (very small) at the very bottom of each fork "KX-94" I am going to assume they are from '94.

I did measure the stanchions, top crown ID, and bottom crown ID.

  Stanchions are; 46mm
  Top crown; 53.5mm
  Bottom crown; 58.5mm

I didn't take any length measurements after noticing the stamp on each leg.

  Soooo, think I'm correct?

Also Sandblaster, any chance you have foot peg springs I could buy?  I see a pair with pegs on e-bay you have up, but do you have just springs you'd part with?

  Thanks again,

  B-
