Thanks for the great sight. I have read almost all the posts on the KX500's and I have found alot of great info here.  :D

I have a 1990 KX500 that I bought from some moron.  I had to rebuild the bike from the ground up. From suspension to engine and I wish I would have found this sight first as I would have had the crank balanced balanced before I put it back together.  I have been riding for years and vibration of the KX5 leaves alot to be desired, but I will live with it, to have all that power on tap. I love leaving the new 4 Strokes in the dust.

Thanks, Woody223

I live fairly close Susanville. More toward Nevada up by the Lassen OHV park where they have one of the National Hare and Hound races.  Your only about 3 hours from here.

I know the owner Larry Wossick but  I have never ridden the track.  I do not know if he has a track fee because I have never thought of riding it. I know that a couple time a year they have races and there are some Pro's that come up and ride it. If you want me to check it out I could call him and get you some info.

Just had a thought. Did I meet you a couple of weekends ago at the Buck Inn in doyle?

I saw some bikes in the back of a truck and asked you if you were up riding at the Fort Sage OHV Park.

No,I havent been out of the Redding area for awhile,I work nights so Shasta Dam is the place I like to ride because its close and I keep finding new trails out there. There is another member from Redding,Manny-he kind of pops in and out.I can remeber Larry Wossick from when I was a kid, never met him but he was in Motocross Action magazine and Dirt Bike.Ive been to Carson City a long time ago,but I like to ride woods more than MX.Id like to ride Honey Lake,it looks like a cool track from the magazine pictures.

My first race (And Win) on an Open bike was due to Larry talking me into it! He saw me on my 125 and 250 and said,"Heck, you might as well ride a 500 and cover all your bases."

He introduced me to a Cop that was at the races that day with a brand new '92 480 and the guy gives it to me for practice...

Pure ADDICTION!

I remeber Larry's "Team Kawasaki Toyota" pick-up...

Those were the days!

Manny

BTW, got a KLX400 Streeter...it clears the Doubles at Coyote Ridge!

WaaaaaaHoooooooooo
