Badlands Attica, In
« on: September 04, 2010, 05:13:24 PM »
Here is a little helmet cam footage from my trip to Attica, IN.  One lap around the MX track with my buddy chasing me on his quad.  Pay no attention that I am riding a 4 stroke Yamaha.  The content is for anyone wanting to see what the track looks like.  The next video post will be on the K5.

Enjoy.

Are you from this area? We need to hook up and ride. Attica is my favorite place to ride besides an event hills. Not much for the motox track, but I dig the rest of the place...

I live near St Louis but have a buddy that lives in Indy that I meet there.  He rides there frequently.  We are planning a day on Sun Oct 24 if nothing falls through.  We will have our kids so will probably spend a lot of time at the MX track.  I hope to have the clutch on the K5 fixed by then.

What camera did you use to film it?
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

You should check out the Hill climbs in your area next season too. White City, Illinois. Mt Vernon, Illinois. You are alot closer than I am to them and alot of kids race, plus lots of trails to ride when the event is not going on.

Will ask what camera he uses.  The raw footage is much higher resolution.  I used a freebie movie editor and took some of the quality out of it when I titled and put the music to it.

Hillclimb,  I ride the trails at White City every couple of weeks with friends who are members there.  A great place to ride and can be very challenging depending on how wet it is.  I think the big red enduro is there next weekend.  I have been to the hillclimb at white city as a spectator but have never thought about entering.

Riding with Troy, the Hammer? He's a good buddy of mine from there. Right on. There are two huge stock classes there. Stock length is what "stock" is. Hardcore adrenaline rush that is hard to top when hillclimbing. The commradery of hillclimbers is what keeps everyone involved. You should try it out sometime.

I think this profile pic is from the line at white city. :-P

I ride with Jeff and Ryan in the mornings during the week so there is hardly ever anyone else there.  I am a member of another local club where the work day requirement may be too high for me to sustain with my job and family.  I am considering pledging the white city club if things dont work out where I am at.  The work day requirements at white city appear to be much more manageable for what I have going on.

Camera is a Vholdr Contour hd.  There is a new one out that is the same but has gps built in.  It gives you speed and distance info plus obviously plots location.
