01' kx250 wheels?

Hey I have an 01' kx250 and was checking out some new wheelsets. Just wondering if 03' Wheels would fit up to my 01'?? Or are they 99'-02' specific?

they won't work, 03 has a 25mm rear axle, prior to that the kawis had 20mm front and rear, and earlier had even smaller front axle.
