I'm in the same boat.  Back in April I paid Stewart for a set of cases to fit my 250 chassis.  Nothing out of the ordinary, just machine the pivot hole.  Haven't heard from him since May when he said they'd be shipped within a week.

If anyone knows if he's still alive at least post it here so we all know.

Very interesting... Seems Stewart, While helping out alot of people... has been laging on others...

There was a member that emailed me a while back asking about my motor, since he hadnt gotten his... Ill email him and inform him of this thread... not sure who it was..

Perhaps Stewarts father could be a reason?
I know he has to be about 180yrs old...

I am in the same boat Suicyde. I sent Stewart 2 k5 motors February this year and he was all over them at the beginning. I paid him up front as per his terms and had 2-3 phone conversations and a handfull of emails. After no one answering the phone and 0 replies on emails I sent a pm to k5abuser. Suddenly I got an email from Stewart saying that lightning had taken out his internet service and now able to communcate. My motors were assembled but waiting to be tested in bikes. I emailed him again asking if the motors be returned in Septemeber this year and have not received a reply yet. I realize you have been a lot longer at this than alot of us and I am in hopes that we can all get this resolved soon. Collectively we have a bunch of money tied up into this and not something we can just walk away from.

This maybe a hobby or even a favor for the website members for Stewart but you don't take money unless you follow through.

2 years is too long to wait, I don't care who the builder is...  Be upfront with the customer and if you can't get the job done as promised don't accept the work.

Yeah, that's not cool. I would call a lawyer.  He will start answering your calls real quick

you know, its crap like this comment that is keeping him away from kxriders.com. he used to be a real asset to the site, but crap comments and a couple butthead members drove him off! a real shame!!

Cool your engine with water not fuel

you have to have thick skin to hang out on forums. Thats why most engine builders don't hang out on forums. Or if they do they don't say they are engine builders.

All the guy whats is a email or phone call with a update on his motor. Its been some time since they talked last. We all know stewart is a good guy he just has alot on his plate right now.

i agree with what you said kawrider, i totally understand the situation that suicyde is in. the work should be done in a timely manner or not at all. i guess i just don't get why it would take so long to build an engine. gotta have a timeline and stick to it. i have timelines to stick to at work and if i can't meet it there better be some good reasons. for us in mining, downtime costs big $ in lost production of coal.

Well said!  But even if there is too much on his plate, you would think that he (or someone close to him)  would have been able to get things squared away before it got to this issue.  I would hope things get straightened out to protect his integrity, unless he sweeps it all under the mat and just avoids it.
Keep us posted as to what the outcome is, this is highly disappointing to see.

I had Stewart inspect my cylinder and he had it recoated for me and sold me a new ported piston with no problems what so ever. I've BS'd with Stewart on the phone a few times and he's been nothing but HELPFUL in anyway he could and I was going to have him redo my motor this winter and now it sounds like my motor rebuild is out. Hopefully everything gets straightened out and Stewart returns here, this guys full of knowledge.

I think my turnaround was about 30 days, Were you getting alot of dyno time for some reason? Are you part of the group getting the latest mods still in development or what? There's at least a dozen guys that have had no trouble that I know of. Surely, you are getting some exclusive set-up or something?Huh

I'm very disappointed to hear of suicyde's bad deal there is no excuse for what has happened that I can see, unless there has been trouble with the flux capacitor on the time continuum DeLorean time machine and Biff stole the KX motor and transported it to the locomotive in the Wild West so he could time travel faster. Well that's the only excuse I can think of.
