Kevin Gent of Fort Lauderdale, FL, USA here. I have a 2001 KX-500 that I bought new on Sept 30,2001. Since there are very few places to ride in my area I usually race FTR Hare Scrambles or the GNCC event that is in FL during Bike Week each year. I sometimes drive up to Okeechobee to ride as well. I have used this site many times over the years for technical advice but just recently joined.

 Hey Kev,
Glad you decided to sign up.
I know it does the Bosses heart good to see how many people do get help from his site.
You I think are in a very small number of first owner K-5's.  Most of us have gotten them from the second or t6hird owner.    Thanks again and feel free to jump in with anything you've found helpful over the years.
