I have been toying with the idea of the AF conversion and was wondering if anyone had a ballpark cost estimate.  I am no welder or fabricator so I'd need a shop to do it for me.  Does Service Honda or any other company take an existing KX 500 and do the swap?  I currently have a 99 KX 500 which is in great shape, I just dont have the KXF 450 frame or anything.

I think everyone is afraid to admit how much they have spent on their conversions, I gave up costing it half way through, it all depends on how much you get the donor chassis for. I bought a rolling chassis so had no 450 engine to sell, that would have gone towards the fabrication costs, but then I got the chassis cheap.
