crank bearing tolerance?

(1/1)

tschisi:
Hi!

I noticed that when i check my crank bearings with pushing the rod, there is no clearance.
But if i grab the flywheel i can move the whole crankshaft about 0.5mm up and down.
Could this be ok?
On my CRF it is ok because there is a roll bearing on this side.

thx

bob larry:
Shouldn't move up and down at all

oic0:
Yep none at all, mine doesn't even have a hair of budge when you tug on the piston.

tschisi:
Well, on the piston mine also doesn?t...

jonny500:
there should be no movment on the mains. if you run the bike like that you risk doing damage to the crank, crank cases, flywheel and stator plate. besides that on a k5 your teeth will probably fall out with the vibrations. lol
