if it ant broke dont fix it. thats how the have always made them. if it wasnt for the rising sun my pumpkins would still be left hand kickers.

I have just been talking to a man with a Maico 685 today (I'll put the pictures up as soon as they download) and his bike had a HGS exhaust on it.
It was unmodified and still chromed so is a standard part.

It had a little plate on the expansion chamber with the numbers 9081-1 on it as I remembered you needed an exhaust and asked the bloke lots of questions to find out where you can get parts.
He got his parts from Maico International.

HGS exhausts are made in the Netherlands if that helps any? Might be worth ringing them about one.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that his bike had a Bing carb on it also but the 2010 Maicos (including the 700cc version) have Kehin Air Striker carbs on them.
