reed stuffers

ok when i last took my reeds out of my kx there was a little plastic piece that was sitting in the reed cage ...im pretty sure its called a reed stuffer now my question is ... should i leave it in there or take it out? are there any benefits to this thing?

try it with and without, you'll tell the different, if you motor is loaded down good.
