East Oregon Desert Ride
« on: March 29, 2010, 03:29:47 PM »
I joined the Idaho Adventure Motorcycle Club recently it is a dual sport group. Sat-Sun we rode to Crystal Crane Hot Springs from Nyssa, OR, about 140 miles there and back. I wished I had taken my Christini KX450F when we hit the snow. My IMS desert tank developed a crack left side toward the top of the radiator, but I made it back to civilization.

 ID,
That would be a trip hard to forget, I wish I had done stuff like that.  Gonna' check out the rest of the story at your link.   Who'da thought a tank would crack, I guess you have to be prepared for just about anything.
Two part epoxy, I really don't know if I would have thrown that in....The first TIME!
Thanks for taking the time to post up the report. :-)

I would plumb a bung on the red tank and run the fuel off the tail first.  :-D The tide looked cool.
