just got a new in box psi pipe for the 500. never mounted. Called the company about it, He said it was rare since he haddent made any since 1996. Its very nice nickel plated, smaller in the big area than my pro circuit, he told me it has very good power all around and very good top end, he said lots of dyno time on those pipes. I will get a picture up later

The ice racers seemed to really love that pipe. Like he said NOS that is a rare find , the one we have has been arouind the block quite a few times . It does make a little better top end , if thats what your lookin for you should like it .CBX

Ha ! "PSI" now there's a flash back from the 80's. Here's my experiences with PSI back in the day: My first competitive race bike was a 1984 KX125. Bone stock the KX was BRUTAL and peaky..... so me being the novice dumba$$ thinking i needed more power goes out and buys a PSI ported cylinder and pipe..... (It was the recommended "hot" setup per the pro's) OMG that bike was just ungodly fast (IF and only IF I could keep the throttle pinned around 12,000 rpm's all the way around the track) !!!! Thanks for the flashback!

I found a guy selling new PSI pipes on ebay and called him. He claimed to have bought a truck full of their old stock cause they went out of business (or the MX pipe biz) and closed that shop.
Anyway I got NOS supposed KX500 one for $60 shipped to my door.
I would be interested in the pics too since all the pipe had was a hand written tag, but it bugs me that the pipe cones look too small like they are for an 1985-1988 KX250.
I dont have a KX500 but rather a Tecate 3 wheeler KX500 project.

Did the the 1988 have the lower frame bracket?

no i dont have the seller's info off hand. The thing was, he starts braggin he bought a semi trailer full of pipes, then he only lists like 12 on ebay (mostly early 90's 250cc). And after those- nothing listed ever again.
I bought it like 4 years ago.

finally got the psi pipe on and I am very happy with the results. Lots of power over the whole power range, its a little quieter than the p.c. works and tucks in closer too. I like it alot.
