I am currently going through my bike and doing the necessary maintenance for the summer season. I just pulled my motor yesterday and would like some help or any tips on cleaning the power valves. I took the cover off and they are NASTY! The cover I removed was the one above the exhaust port. How do I go about removing/cleaning them?...if they're even the power valves..
helps or tips much appreciated.
Thanks.

Berkeybile 2+2 instant gum cutter  or Yamaha carb cleaner, you mix it with water , 1 to 1 and leave the parts in it over night the stuff works great even better on old carbs.CBX

The best money you can spend would be to get the manuals and the Clymer.   You can save yourself lots of headaches....
