Hi, my son who is 16 and I searched for a while and finally found a KX500.  We were not looking for a project but found a supposedly 93 in OK condition.  The bike was an hour away and was in much worse shape than I was told.  Got a good price and turned into a real enjoyable time.  Through the use of this forum, I searched the vin and the bike turned out to be a 91.  No big deal just like to know for sure.  We are having fun and will have some questions comming on this project.  Thanks for reading and can't wait to get her together for a ride.

 Welcome '93,
Glad to have you and your son with us.  I'm sure working together on a project like this will make memories you will both get plenty of mileage with.  I tried to have my boys work with me in the garage and, well... Like I said .. I tried..
I had to take all my Crescent wrenches, Pliers and Channel locks and hide them... Oy-Va...
Besides my boys were more interested in blowing things up  shocked....
anyways, feel free to jump on in.  There is plenty to peruse.
One of my newer friends I met here has been nudging me to take more Photo's.  I have to admit he's right. I don't have much of me and the boys and now they're both off at college..  I wish I had taken more Photo Ops.

Thanks for the welcome.  Progress is going good.  My wife is into scrapbooking so there are lots of pictures.  It's a learning process for both of us.  He is anxious and wants to be done and I have to reinforce the importance of taking your time to make things right.  should be ready to ride in a couple of days.
