I hear you. I went to his web site and jfab does not have a phone # listed there either. What kind of business doesn't list a phone #? I don't want his personal home or cell #. I have sent e-mails to Jerry's personal e-mail address as well as the jfabmotorsports.com e-mail address. Being patient is one thing, but expecting a business man or an associate to answer an e-mail after 3 days should not be too much to ask. The positive responses to everyone here @ KXRIDERS is the only reason I have persisted.
As far as the no phone number,  I tell members NOT to post any phone numbers. To many scammers phishing for info.  This site is bombarded with scum bags joining just to post porno or to cause trouble, why? I have no idea.  We do an IP address search and sometimes a little correspondence through e- mail to weed out trouble makers but one gets past us about once each quarter.
KXRiders is not the place J-Fab generates the majority of his work.  With any luck he is on a 7 day motorcycle riding adventure.  He's North and East of me by 500 miles.  The jet stream has been right above us (Oklahoma City) giving us some nice weather. Jerry's problem could be weather related.

i need one of these for sure but has anyone heard of anykind of failure of the valve and if it did fail could you limp it back to the truck
I would say if the valve fails you would not be able to start the bike.  I don't picture mine giving me a problem.  If the threads are NPT (National pipe thread) you could carry a bull plug.  Or carry an extra valve taped to your handle bar.  I consider mine a non issue.

I did get in contact w/Jerry... Very cool guy and I am about to send my head to him for the comp-rel mod. Also I'll be sending him my Boyeson Factory Racing  aluminum ignition cover, so he can make a spacer plate. WHY... because the boyeson alum. cover IS NOT MADE TO KAWASAKI FACTORY SPECS!!! It does not have the same clearance to allow the use of my 14 oz. steahly flywheel weight!! Why in the hell would boyeson decide to make their cover like that is beyond me. Just plain stupid. So I called Boyeson directly and told them exactly how I felt about their crappy design. If a company is going to come out with a factory replacement engine cover, it needs to be Exact Factory Dimensions. NOT THEIR VERSION of what they think we need. I was not about to chunk my flywheel weight. The Steahly flywheel weight mod is one of the most common and beneficial  mods we 500 riders do. I was about to send boyeson their bs cover back, but after talking w/Jerry @ JFAB, he said making a spacer would be quick and easy. And I would much rather have an aluminum ign. cover over an oem plastic cover. Can't wait to ride my mean machine!

I had a small rub problem with my Service Honda cover on my 97'CR500.  A small die grinder fixed it right up.

I think the money would be better spent having him make a flywheel weight like mine... would be less work also.... less load on the end of the crank shaft.. and more centrificul force..

Thanks Motorrad,
I just talked to Jerry @ JFAB and he'll be mocking me up your style of flywheel weight on my rotor, when I send him my head for the comp-rel mod. I appreciate all the info on this site.

That looks like the exact valve I had installed onto my cylinder. They drilled on the intake side above the reed cage. I have zero clearance issues with mine but would have gone with one of the head releases just because it cheaper replacing a head than a cylinder. Not that I will ever have to replace my cylinder because of this valve.
