hi guys/gals!
« on: November 20, 2009, 11:51:49 AM »
hi all,

just a short note to say "HI!"

I'm a canuck in northern alberta with a KX500.
I'm disabled but still trying to ride a bit.  My KX needs some work over winter but hey, that's the time to spin wrenches up here in the great white north.

I live on a little acreage (5 acres) with enough space to build a little track on it but haven't bothered yet, cuz my dad owns another couple hundred acres that i can play on.

Anywho - I started off many moons ago with a Can-am qualifier, then went street for 20 years and had an affair with a KTM 6-days enduro which led to me buying a ktm 525 desert racing while I was in germany.  I raced a little bit in the german cross country series with miserable results (but never last position at least).

hey if you can't learn to do it well, learn to enjoy doing it poorly.

I'm sure I'll have lots of questions coming up about the 5hunny and other things kawasaki.
gotta go and make supper for the kids right now though.  more later.

  Welcome Blue,
I have the same situation (with my suspension falling apart) and refuse to give up riding
altogether.  I just had some work done on my R hip last fri and will be down for a while.
So, Like you said, I should be able to get out in the shed in a few weeks and tinker till spring.
There are several other guys here from the Great White North,
  Welcome again!
