will a rear shock and linkage from a 89 - 04 go on a 86-87???

86 no completely different style suspension.  87 yes, but youhave to shim the two link rods  the new style linkage is narrow, the old is wide,  measure the link rod width and you'll is what i'm talking about, restate that measure where the link rods attach to the bottom of the swingarm, that width,  Ive used washers
