Exhaust Guard ??? where does it go?

I have a 97 kx500 and I bought an exhaust guard

but I cant tell where to mount it.  I thought it would connect from frame and skid plate, and extend past both sides of the pipe like an engine guard on a big street cruiser. But the pipe is probably 6 inches wider than this guard I bought.  Check out that link above and tell me what you think.

I have never seen a part like that for the 500.

Same as Hughes.  Hold it up to the bike and have someone snap a picture.

That thing has been listed on E-Bay for a while.  I have never seen a bolt on guard like that on any dirt bike.  It might be a mislabeled part.
