Hey everyone.
Great to be here!
I am just getting back into ridin' after not being on the bike for three years. I have a '90 K5 that I have had since '91.
At the time I bought the bike I was not sure if it was the bike for me. It did not take me long to get the K5 bug and I was Hooked! The info on this site is great and the people are awesome. I have already talked with Larry Weichman (nice guy) and I am going to send him my cylinder head this week for the compression release mod. Can't Wait!
Happy Ridin'

Welcome!
Tell us more about your riding.
Where will you be riding the 500?
What kind of riding have you done and are looking forward to doing?
It's a pretty wide scope of riding types here, as well as a wide range of international locations.
Which is a tribute to the versitility of the KX500.
Oh, yeah, and pictures are a MUST.

Yeah I'm in Indiana and ride the woods and when I feel froggy I'll do some laps on the MX track. Usually we would ride Haspin Acres in Laurel or the Badlands in Attica. On occasion to a couple of spots in the Daniel Boone Forrest in KY...S Tree and 909.

RIGHT ON, A fellow Hoosier. Not many kxriders in the midwest. I haven't been to Haspin in awhile, is it still mostly Truck and Jeep ruts in the woods? The 909 has been closed. S-tree was kinda fun. There was a place called Redbird there in Daniel Boone that was just a goat trail up a very steep mountain. After climbing for 30 minutes and finally giving up to the danger and rediculous trail lay-out, we rolled back down all the way to the truck. Check out LBL. Land Between the Lakes. In Kentucky. We go there in April and is by far the best riding adventure within a 3 hour drive. Thousands of acres with miles of groomed and marked trails from mild to wild. They also have a cool place here in Indiana that blows the KY trails out of the water. Dugger, Indiana has a state operated riding park. Bigger than Attica, all trails. Also, a new place that just opened in Waveland, but I haven't been there yet. Of course there is always Hillclimbing next season in Indiana and Illinois. Alot of the Clubs have wooded trails that we ride before and after the races. There is the Ironman Harescramble coming up the weekend after this one.

Oh yeah, Welcome to the site...
