Hey from So Cal........
« on: September 11, 2009, 02:43:34 PM »
This kinda reminds me of show and tell! LOL  Anyway I will tell you a little about our area and toys, we are in the southern part of Ca, down near Long Beach, "lots of traffic" did I mention  lots of traffic! besides that, it's a great place, where can you within two hours and go from 75 deg to snow? and back.OK now for the nuts and bolts, well I have been riding for "o boy a long time, about 34years, have driven just about anything that has a engine, and if it didn't I found one for it! and made it faster "of course" at a young age I learned to rebuild engines and it kinda went extreme from there! I don't think I have anything stock! my friends all tease me cause I can't leave anything alone! " If it can't smoke the tires or do a wheelie in every gear, it needs to be Ricocheted, that was my nickname for many years, racing, and building whatever, I've had everything from the old Tripples,H2's "AKA the widowmaker" RD 400's, Elsniore's to the most recent 4 strokes, well they are getting better! but still not quite the match for a good old 2 stroke, without spending a small fortune to make a 4 stroke fast, don't get me wrong there are some fast 4 strokes, but out of the box nothing matches a 2 stroke power, and quickness. anyway one of my favorites is my 91 KX, nothing sounds like it, and nothing runs like it. After all these years that Is one machine I respect. If you don't it will bite you bad! So here is some pics, Getting ready for a gorman run.

welcome.  where did you get your graphics?

I havent been to gorman for awhile.  used to be fairly tight riding so i didnt enjoy it with my 500.  every time i would open it up there would be a crevis from the rain erosion from hills that would come up quick.

how much do they charge there now?

$ 5.00 a day there are some places to open it up on the main pipe line road, we like the area over by Mc Donalds going through the hills and the hill climbs.
