can you put an 88-04 rear frame on a 86-87 kx 500?

I'm almost possitive that they (88+) won't bolt up. I could be wrong though. I've got an 87 frame/subframe out in the garage. Tomarow when I'm out there I'll look to see if the parts swap over. It seems that when I was assembling my project (87 motor, 92 frame, misc year suspension), I rember looking at the two subframes and noticing they were differnt.
