Why is the flywheel weight different from a '90-'91 and then on a '92-'04

I found a member nearby that has a Steahly flywheel weight from his '92 kx500 for sale. I was going to put it in my '91 but when I went to the Steahly website, they are showing a different part number for 90-91 and then 92-04 is the same. I thought the motors were the same but maybe not. Does anyone know the difference?
