yet another
« on: June 21, 2009, 04:19:45 PM »
hi,

my name's Ralph and I'm a horsepower junkie.  Currently have a '93 kx500 that I have to replace a head gasket on before I can get going this year.
what I've driven in no particular order:
yamaha dt 100 (1st bike)
can am qualifier 175 (the one with rotary valves)
Honda cb750K
Honda v65 sabre
Honda st1100
ducati 900 ss cr
Ktm lc4-sixdays
ktm exc 525 desert racing (even raced a bit in germany with that)
Kawa KX500
so yeah I've had some pretty varied experiences.
coolest rides ever:
1st race (Goldbach Germany)
sea to sky highway to whistler, lillouette, etc
highwy 101 west coast
last ever mx run in wolfskehlen (the wolf's throat) just south of the international airport in Frankfurt germany.

I've had an unfortunate diagnosis back in 2001 I was told I have a low grade inoperable brain tumor and the statistics said i'd probably be long dead by now.  so if a brain tumor can't stop me, then it's time for a kx500

i'd rather die living than live dying.
;looking forward to the forum here...
later!
Ralph
