Easier to handle

Latest modification. Design based on my KDXs.

DoldGuy:
Barry,
That looks good & in the right place. Being vertically challenged with the K5, I have to really snap the bike up to get it on the stand & there is no real good place to grab ahold of. Will install on the next sub frame I get before it gets powder coated. Also like how "Clean" the bike is, Good Pictures.

barryadam:
Thanks.  I just installed a NOS air box that had been waiting for an opportunity.  And cleaned the pipe, repacked the silencer, and resealed the pipe in the port.  Good excuse to clean it all up and stop that splooge from getting all over my boots and the the muffler junction.
Just tried some new 2-way radios this weekend, too.  The communication really changes the ride experience.

Barry,
Thanks.  A friend just bought a KDX200 for his daugther and we spent about 6 beer arguing what that handle was for.  Neither of us were right. Cam.

barryadam:
Cam,

Ga head.  Try it.  Next time you see her bike, stand next to it on the LHS, hold the LH handle bar with your left hand, reach over with your right hand, grab that mystery handle.  Using your hip, you can throw the bike up and over like a cowboy throwin' a calf.

To do this on the stock KX, you have to use the side cover and the plastic is not strong enough.

Comes in handy for loading, puttin' it on and off a stand, or moving around on a trail.

What other two uses could you possibly have come up with?
