96 kx250 suspension
« on: May 11, 2009, 12:04:03 PM »
Hey guys, im new to this site and trying to learn as much as i can. I have a couple of years of road time on 2 wheels but am new to the dirt. So far im likin' it. Question is im working on getting suspension set up in the ballpark so i can fine tune it. So far i have only farm riding experience and looking to find some local trails and tracks to ride on in Pennsylvania. Nothing serious, just out to have fun. Ive started to check out the sag of the bike and found its about 180mm now. So im in need of a different spring. Ive found race tech, for suspension, are there any other good places to look. Right now im 6'2 245lbs. Ive got a lot to learn and still learning what to ask. Im hoping to do most of the work myself, figure thats how im gonna learn more. Any help would be appreciated

If you want a good set-up I would consider getting your suspension re-valved for your weight.  There are quite a few places in PA that are really good, like Pro-Action, VPE, and PR2.  If you have the extra cash, I'd contact one of these places to set it up.
